Vow Renewal

We didn't have much of a wedding so our plan has always been to do a vow renewal instead. I want to do it at 10 years but hubby wants to do it at 5 years.

Which would you prefer?

Hmm...at least ten. I'd probably wait till 20,25, or 50. Just me though. Five your still considered a newly wed imo

At least ten. It does give you more time to save!

Whenever you want I don't think there is technically a time period for vow renewals, people do it for many reasons.

if I'd had a big wedding, I'd wait til ten

if I'd had something small, or a JP or something, I'd want it at five

Do whatever you want. Don't let other people tell you what is too soon. We're hitting 10 years next year, and I'm considering doing it then, but we may not have the money to do it the way I want to (I may be heading to grad school and we may have to move to another state), so we'll see.

at least 10, 5 is too soon unless, you have been having a lot of problems. I know a couple they had their vow renewal after 4 years because they separated, however never divorced legally, and they went back together, so they decided to get the vow renewal.
