Vertigo..

Ugh..I’m so upset! Last Friday, dh has his first ever vertigo attack and it’s been constant since. He says it seems as the world is just spinning around him. I feel so bad for him.. He couldn’t walk and was throwing up! He’s able to control himself now and hasn’t thrown up since it started but I hate that it’s still going on. Not sure what triggered it or if he has an ear infection that caused it.. Idk. I just know that I feel terrible for him and I want him to be better.. I am not sure why but I’ve been crying over it.. lol.

He needs to see a specialist, an ENT, ears, nose and throat doctor. Poor guy. Do you have insurance?

Have him go to an ENT asap. Vertigo is really no fun. You feel sick when you move, and feel sick when you don't. Sometimes just breathing makes your world spin.

Acupuncture worked for me the last time I had vertigo, but it really depends on the reason why he has vertigo in the first place.

I have severe sinuis issuses that cause vertigo. There are exercises that I found on you tube that really help.

And has he seen a doctor for it yet??? Seriously.. it's probably something pretty easy to treat if he would just go.

My GF just had surgery to her cartit artery which was causing her vertigo. I don’t think she was vomiting.

Hope he went to the hospital...

My episode of vertigo started after going on a cruise to Bermuda.  It  lasted a few days. There are non pharmaceutical treatments for vertigo.  Just go to your  local pharmacy.  I saw a neurologist but he really did not help.

has he been to a doctor?

I've had labyrinthitis, which is horrendous, but it didn't last more than 24 hours.  A decongestant helped.

If his is ongoing and sudden, he should see a Dr.

He needs to see an ENT. I've been going through this too. It took a long time, but I've finally got an answer and will be getting help. The sooner he can be seen the sooner he can get help and rule out any life threatening things associated with sudden onset vertigo

When my dad had the worst Vertigo attack it was a weekend. He was literally crawling on the floor to get to the bathroom.

Benedryl. Worked for him. Unless your dh is allergic to it.
