I do most days......shopping at Aldi's and other discount grocery stores it's pretty easy.  Even beter if you grow your own.

But I typicaly buy 2lbs. of ground beef for about $5 there, and it's enough for two meals: $2.50

Then you can easily make tacos, a meatloaf, a casserole (homemade hamburger helper kinda meal), sloppy joes, etc with about another $2 in supplies.  A box of mac n cheese is 35 cents, or a box of scalloped potatoes or rice is 79 cents, taco shells are 79 cents, rolls are 79 cents.  A box of pasta 79 cents and $1 for sauce.

Typicaly I save a bit because I make as much as I can from scratch.  You could cook half a box of pasta, add a small can of tomato sauce (about 39 cents) and add some shredded cheese, toss in some homegrown veggies and you have a healthier hamburger helper style meal.

A bag of stir fry vaggies with sauce is about $4 there at Aldi, it is enough for two dinners, then I add a chicken breast, shrimp, salmon or steak to it and we have a yummy stir fry for about $5, I don't cook rice with it but you can add some (I'm a diabetic so I go light on carbs)
