Hershey's Kiss Roses
by Michelle Jones
Delight your Valentine with these sweet Hershey's Kisses roses for Valentine's Day! They are very inexpensive and easy to make, and so pretty! I learned how to make these many years ago and they're even easier now that there are so many varieties of Hershey's Kisses available. If you use color wrapped kisses (instead of the traditional silver), there is no need for the red plastic wrap; clear will be fine. Red roses are always a favorite, but it's okay to be creative, use whatever color (or flavor) you like best! You can either give a single Hershey's Kiss Rose or wrap them together by the dozen for your special sweetheart.
Supplies needed for each rose:
2 Hershey's Kiss chocolate candies, any flavor
Pink, red or clear cellophane wrap
Floral stems (with at least 1 or 2 leaves)
Green floral tape
Directions:
Place the two Hershey's Kisses together, bottom end to bottom end, and hold in
place. Wrap the Kisses with a small square of cellophane from top to bottom,
creating a rose like shape.
Gather the cellophane together at the bottom of the rosebud, but before twisting the cellophane completely closed, add a pre-cut floral stem with the leaf close to the bud.
Wrap the bottom cellophane closed with floral tape, going around the stem and pulling it tight all the way down to the end.
Now you have a beautiful Hershey's Kiss Rose and can make as many as you want. They are also great for parties and even wedding favors! :o)
