How much do you pay for tomatoes (per lb) and if there is a lowest price that you usually get them, what is it.

You can share your location too...city or just state.

I figure some ladies grow and can or jar them too...so share away!

The lowest that I ever really see them for is 99 cents/lb ..I'm in Md. It's usually a lot more than that though :-(

Right now the lowest is 99¢/lb, but they've been as low as 69¢ during last fall.

Yes, I grow and can them, too.

We have our own cherry tomato trees for our salads.

I haven't bought or looked at tomatos in stores in 3 years.

I think it's definitely over a dollar a pound right now. I really don't pay attention to the price :/ right now it's just my hubs and I, and he doesn't eat tomatoes so if I need a tomatoe I get a tomatoe lol!

I usually grow my own. I'm thinking Cali will be a perfect place to grow vegi's. Oregon rained so much they lost a lot of calcium last year and got blossom rot grrr.. When I buy them they are usually 99 a lb.

I don't buy them out of season, so I don't know what they are right now. We do grow our own in the summer and, if I get a good crop, I will can and/or freeze extras for winter's use.
