Great news since for the past two days- I've felt like I've been under water...it's not back to normal yet but it's a little better

My husbands ear has felt like that for about 2 weeks now and he still can't get it to pop! It's making him feel dizzy sometimes and he can't hear out of that ear!

I can't hear out of my ear too.  I feel like I'm screaming at people because I can't hear right.  I have an appointment on Monday with the doctor so I'll have her take a look.

I hate that feeling!!

Have you tried taking any decongestants?  What about putting peroxide in your ear?  (If you do, google because I don't know if you are supposed to dilute it)

I haven't tried any decongestants only because I'm not stuffed up anywhere else.  I feel normal besides my ear.  I wonder if there's a buildup of ear wax.

It could still be sinuses. I have a lot of sinus trouble and sometimes it is just my eyes and ears. It never hurts to try peroxide. And no, you don't have to dilute it. I do that a lot especially in the summer when I swim. Just pour a capful of peroxide in. When it stops bubbling, pour it out of your ear onto a towel.

Sounds like an inner ear infection to me.  That makes the inner ear swell and affects the equilibrium (sense of balance).  Might wanna give the doctor a call and see if they want to put him on some antibiotics.

My twin boys used to have terrible ear wax issues.  The doctor had me lay a towel on my lap, lay their heads sideways and pour a capful of peroxide in their ear.  The fizzing would loosen the wax and float it to the opening of the ear canal.  There is also an OTC product for loosening and removing ear wax.  But, we found peroxide just as affective and way cheaper.

As for sinus ~ you could have some sinus swelling that is affecting the ear without being so swollen as to cause you to be stuffy or congested.  It can be caused by allergies, which is a big issue with everyone here in TX right now, with the cedar pollin in the air and dormant mold that is being activated by the rains.
