Do you make fabric softner too?
the laundry soap i use is
1 bar soap
2 cups borax
2 cups washing soda
1 quart water
4 gallons water
add 1 quart water to stove and add 1 bar of shredded soap your choice brand/scent (15 min) low-med heat
add this water to a 5 gallon bucket and dump in soda and borax
stir until disolved and add 4 gallons water.
I put mine into lots of smaller buckets as you have to stir or shake it before each load. just makes it easier
Fabric softer *if interested*
2 cups conditioner of your choice and scent
3 cups white distilled vinager
6 cups water
Mix all ingredients together do not shake or stir hard as it will cause bubbles.
add normal amount to washer(i use 1/4 cup) or spray on wash cloth to put in dryer
Here is the recipe I use.
You use 4 cups hot tap water
1 Fels-Narptha soap bar
1 cup Arm & Hammer super washing soda
1/2 cup borax
Grate bar of soap and add to saucepan with water. Stir continuously over medium heat until dissolved.
Fill a 5 gallon bucket half full with hot tap water. Add the melted soap. Then add the washing soda and the borax. Stir until everything is dissolved. Fill bucket to top with more hot water. Stir really well and cover. Let it sit overnight.
The next morning, take clean empty laundry soap dispensers (you can also use milk jugs or any other jug as long as it is clean). Fill half full of soap and then fill the rest of the way with water. Make sure to shake before each use.
You can add 10-15 drops of essential oil if you want a different smell. It says that it does approximately 180 loads..
