I just got an email from Saving Star that has a contest going on right now to WIN free groceries for six months! Woo Hoo!
What would you get if you could win free groceries for 6 months?
I would get whatever I wanted! LOL
Quoting gumeshoe:I clicked on it. But I am just sick of contests and whatever that don't let you apply they force you to INVITE other people.
You don't have to invite them. I didnt invite anyone
It has to post or something for you to use it. If you use gmail it makes you send an email, even if you use a bogus address. I have no contacts on google because letting facebook access my contacts has caused me to be spoofed and spam email sent out with my email address to all my old contacts. But it didn't have my tag line so I know it didn't come from me or my email.
BTW I have only allowed my contacts to accessed once. Spoofed because of it twice. So VERY reluctant to trust others security on my contacts.
Really? I'm sorry. I have known this to be reputable site thus far, so I didn't even think about it. Yikes. Maybe I should Goggle them.

I am sure they are reputable. But if they get cracked and they have a stack of info on my friends emails that could be used for spoofing purposes.
To me it is more that I should not have to give you info on my friends to enter a contest. Because once given I can never guarantee how that will be used and how secure that info will be.
They increase their info base by offering a contest. Once you put something on the internet it is always there. It is worse than doing something stupid at the company Christmas party.

True, very true. I like to share the links, but it's optional to enter. I don't tell anyone they have to or give out email addresses. I leave it up to other people to decide if they want to click or not. I did Google the company and didn't find anything negative, so that gave me some relief. I didn't dig too hard though. I bet if I did, I would find something, but that can be said about anyone or company.
