Milk instead of heavy cream in potato recipes? I really would rather use my milk i get with Wic instead of buying cream.

I quit using heavy cream. I replaced with 1 or 2% milk. You can tell a difference, but not much.

I use milk instead of cream all the time. Even in my alfredo! I rarely buy cream. The only really difference is thickness/texture.

 i would use milk. if it needs to be thicker put in a little flour and water mixed and it will thicken up.

And butter. And garlic! Lol.

Same goes for scallopped potatoes as well.
