We had a lot of things come up so we only have about $55 to spend on food for the week for 2 adults and a 10 1/2 month old.

Things we already have

-rice

-5 cans of tuna

-eggs

-pack of pork chops

-2 jars alfredo sauce

-lunch meat

Then some cans of veggies.

I was already thinking about tuna sandwiches one night and egg salad sandwiches another night since both of us like them.

I'd get some cans of different 'cream of ...' I use those in all sorts of stuff. One easy Chicken and Rice meal (that you could probably substitute pork chops in):

1 cup raw rice or 2 cups minute rice

1 can celery soup

1 can mushroom soup

1 1/2 cup milk (1 cup with minute rice)

......mix all that together, then pour it into a sprayed 9x13 pan.

Squish as many chicken breasts/thighs/pork chops as you need down into the rice mixture.

If you have it, sprinkle about half a pouch of dry onion soup mix over the top. If you don't have it, sprinkle dry onions over the top, as well as some seasoning you have that is really salty.

Cook covered 1 hour at 350 degrees.

Grab some cheap pasta and add it to all of those things. Alfredo can flavor it up, and veggies with pasta or pork with pasta or tuna with pasta, etc, are all yummy. Really, you could buy bread and pasta and make all of that stuff last.

Does your grocery store had day-old meat? Around here we can get "yesterday's ground beef" 90/10 or even 93/7, for $1.99/lb. That is how I get all of our ground beef. Chicken legs often go on sale for crazy low prices like 59 cents a lb if you can check the store ads. Do you have a day old bread store?

All we have is a Wal-Mart near us and we only have enough gas to get there and back. Hubby is gone from 5am-7:30pm so it's just me and the little one home all day.

Tuna cakes

Pork chops & rice casserole will stretch those chops.  You'll need a can of cream of mushroom soup and veggies to complete the meal.

Get 2 chicken breasts and some spaghetti pasta...make chicken alfredo.

Thanks ladies! I was able to get enough for 6 dinner meals, formula for my little one, and stuff for hubby's lunch for $64.75. Plus, a couple extra things!
