For me its soaps, lotions and make up.  I have very sensitive skin so I buy locally made soaps, natural lotions and bare minerals powder.

Definitely.  I buy quality shoes but always look for sales.  We have a frequent buyer card at the kids shoe store and that has helped out with savings for him.

I wouldn't say I "splurge " often. But there are things I refuse to buy cheaper replacements. I always feel like I could be spending more on other options so I feel in some way I am still being frugal. Coffee for example, I am being frugal by making it at home vs buying it at a drive thru. However I only use coffee mate creamer and Maxwell house hazelnut flavored coffee. I could go cheaper but I could also go more expensive

DH and I get apple pies and coffee from McDonald's every friday night. Sometimes french fries too. It's not frugal but it's the only money we spend on "date nights"

I do shoes too! Dd only wears stride rite, but i do go during bogo and clearance and buy the next few sizes bc she is flying thru them so quickly still

I havent really thought about it. There are many things i prefer certain brands etc but i always try to be frugal with coupons, sales etc.
