This month my grocery budget went from $509/month to $247/month for a family of 5. I was freaking out a little bit, especially since EVERYTHING in florida is sooo expensive. But I did it. I got 2 weeks worth of groceries for.......$109. I can't believe it. It's good wholesome stuff too. So excited.
19 lbs. Boston pork butt roast
6 lbs. Chicken breasts
5 lbs chicken legs
5 lbs chicken thighs
6 lbs boneless pork chops
2 lbs steak
10 lbs flour
10 lbs potatoes
Baking powder & soda
Pizza yeast
Beef bouillon
2 lbs seedless grapes
2 lbs pears
1 lb tomatoes
2 lbs. Strawberries
2 bags of salad
2 lbs cherries
2.5 lbs bananas
Celery
Cukes
Raisins
2 loaves of wheat bread
.5 lb sharp cheddar cheese
1 gallon milk
1 jug of oil
Maple syrup
1 quart yogurt
2 pks crackers
20 can of Progresso soup (I'll use in recipes instead of campbell's)
3 pks frozen veggies
And I have about $20 left over to get fill in items like eggs and milk. It will work out great if I just stick to the meal plan. Sorry this is so long. I'm just amazed right now. Have an AWESOME day everyone!!!!!!! God Bless!!!!!

Whoa, that's awesome! Great job, you're right about groceries being expensive in Florida.

AWESOME! I have a really hard time sticking to a meal plan. I do my shopping and then I won't go back to the store unless I need something. I try to use what's in the house first though.

I need to figure out how to feed my family on less. We are trying to save for a house, since I'm expecting baby number 4. So we are really trying to budget.

Nice job! I find it fun to see how little I can spend on groceries and still provide my family with quality meals.
