So in today's economy you do what you have to do to save money, I went to America's Best for my eye care well after today...no more. I went there because I bought the membership with free eye exams for 3 years. Got my prescription bought a box of contacts and decided to shop around for glasses. I have a really strong prescription and last time it was almost 300.00 for two pairs of glasses. I have to have ultra light lenses because the prescription is so heavy. Well I found an adorable pair online through the military and they were only 157.00 with shipping. Well they need my pupil distance....it was not written on my prescription. I called the eyeglass place and was told they can't give it to me over phone but they can mail it to me. You have to ask for this info even though it is part of the prescription. Now here is the crazy part, the woman on the phone can't even get the info...the eye doc is the only one who can pull it. But she won't give me info because it puts her license on the line??? So now it will be after 5 on Friday before I get it and Monday before I can even call and give them the info so now instead of 2 weeks to get new glasses it will be 3. Note to everyone if you use them for glasses ask for pupil distance.....otherwise they make it impossible for you to go anywhere else for glasses.
