all because last night i was doing some mending and in the pile was a small teddy bear from the dollar store.

He didn't see the point of stiching up the back of a bear that cost 1.07.

He'll be happy to know that i went and restocked some craft supplies and found a christmas gift today...spent 60

LOL, I've done that, only it was a plush princess toy. He said I was nuts and I said why spend another $1+tax if I can stitch it up for free? ;)

I don't do stitching on stuffed animals. If its ripped it gets donated. My kids get all these meaningless stuffed animals and just throw them around.

LOL!  My DH is the same way.  For me, it is the principle of the matter.  Why just throw something out when it can easily be repaired or repurposed?

You never know how your kiddo feels about that toy. Growing up I had a stuffed dog I got when I was in the hospital. It meant a lot when mom would stitch her up. another stuffed toy just isn't the same.
