I like liquid Caress.  I love the smell.

OMG!  I forgot about doing that!  We had to make  something similar at Girl Scout camp every summer.  We used mesh dishrags, basted around it with yarn to draw up into a pouch, put a bar of soap in it and hang it in a tree.  Totally forgot about that!

Quoting JohnnyCakes:

My mom always kept a nylon sock in the closet and added soap chips to it, then we took it camping with us! She'd knot it and hang it on the tree by a bucket of water for quick handwashing. :) You're right, it lathers nicely!

Quoting specialwingz:

This made me laugh.  Not because I don't use all the soap chips, I do.  I melt them down for liquid soap, too.

But, it made me laugh because it made me think back to when I was little.  My Nana was a frugal one for sure.  I came by my frugal roots honestly it seems.  LOL.  She always took a stocking (hosiery) and cut it off at the knee.  The soap pieces went to the toe and she tied off the top in a way that it would loop onto the handle in the tub/shower.  This kept the soap pieces together and yet you could use it to wash with.  She would just keep adding soap pieces to it as they came along.  And, she would toss the stocking in the laundry with her delicates every now and then.  Guess she kinda created her own form of "soap-on-a-rope".  LOL.  But, not a single sliver of soap went to waste in her household!  I remember her bathing me with it.  It created suds like all the fancy shower flowers do today!

I make my own soap.  When it gets down to the slivers I save a few compact together under warm running water.

If you tend to have dry skin you might try KISS MY FACE olive and aloe bar soap.  I suggest this to our customers that complain of dry skin  and chlorinated water especially in the winter months. When you first shower with it and dry off, your skin will feel like you have lightly oiled your skin.  That is it's moisturizing effect.  I started using this soap 9 years ago and I don't go anywhere without it......  And all good ingredients

I put them into one of those mesh soap holders (made to put a bar of soap in). Then, I use it to wash with once I get enough soap chips in it to make good lather. I rotate between using bar soap and body wash. I keep both on hand because sometimes in the winter my skin gets dry so, I tend to use body wash a lot then.

I generally use body wash.   Right now, I'm using bodycology Brown Sugar Vanilla body wash.  I got it as a prize at my aunt's baby shower, and I can't get enough of it.
