does using a shopping basket as opposed to using a shopping cart, keep you from overspending?
sometimes....umm well no...lol, because if i see something that i want....i throw it in ...or go get a shopping cart
if I'm by myself yes, but if dd's with me I use the cart because I can't carry her and the groceries. I also figured out that walking to the store is a good way to keep from overspending lol, since we don't want to carry a lot back to the apartment. That won't be an option soon though

This is me, too! LOL
I have no idea. I always have a cart because I have to put kids in it. Now THAT will keep you from overspending!! No room for items since the cart is full of kids!! lol
naw.. I always need milk when I go (family of 7) so a cart is it for me.
I thought so until I went in the other day (without a list, big mistake) and kept remembering things we needed and the basket got soooooo heavy lol
I always pick a cart. The only time I use a basket is if I know I am not getting a lot.
