1 mom liked this
I make all our food from scratch and make my own laundry detergent and cleaning products.

I also got rid of our landline and Dish. Just have a cell and hulu/netflix. TV bill went from over $100/mo to 16/mo.

And I started zero dollar budgeting which does save money because now I don't overspend.

Here is where I got my laundry detergent recipe. It lasts for months.
http://beingcreativetokeepmysanity.blogspot.com/2010/11/homemade-laundry-soap.html?m=1

Here is my general purpose cleaner:
3tbs distilled white vinegar
1/2 tsp washing soda
1/2 tsp Dr. Bronner's Sal Suds
2 cups hot water
Drops of essential oil for scent
Mix in spray bottle.

My bath/sink/tile (heavy duty):
2/3 c baking soda
1/2 c Dr. Bronners Sal Suds
2tbs distilled white vinegar
1/2 c water
Few drops tea tree oil
Mix in sqirt bottle - its thick like soft scrub.

My glass cleaner:
1c distilled vinegar
2 c water
1/2 tsp Dr. Bronners Sal Suds
15 drops essential oil for scent
Mix in spray bottle

Carpet stain remover:
2 c warm water
1tbs baking soda
I mixed this in a sports water bottle.

I got all recipes off the internet.
