holiday giftsFinding the perfect gift for big kids can be a real challenge, especially when you don't want to spend a fortune. Sure, you could go cheap, but then you end up with "cheap" things. What's the fun in that?

Well happy holidays, people. Buck up. There's a whole lot out there that isn't expensive, but also NOT cheap. Whoo-hoo! So just what kinds of items can older kids get for under $20?

These are all good ideas.I just get gift cards or give them $$.That is what they request.It adds up when they get $$ from multiple people.We try to give atleast $20,$40 if family.

I saw it once a couple years ago, I don't see what the big deal is.

This is what we do as well but our family sets a cap of $10 to $15 per person.

Okay, so my idea of "older" kids is teenagers!! Not 3 or 6 year olds!!

With that in mind, my teenage DD wants video games, items for her duct tape craft and smash book items, and new room decor. The crafting items can be fairly cheap, especially if I use store coupons. My teenage nephew wants new shoes, video games, and XBox points (?). I also know he's big into fast food with his friends - so a new wallet with gift cards to local places - McDonalds, Burger King, Dominoes...should be fun.

My kids arent older yet, but I used to get lipglosses, socks, candy little pocket toys...My dad would always get me scratch tickets even as a kid lol.
