Kinda OT computer/printer question

What do you do if you lost the cd with the drivers for your printer?  Is that something you can get online from the manufacturer?

We just got a new computer because the old one finally died.  All the information for everything is on that one, but I really don't know if I can get it working again long enough to get the info.

I don't want to have to buy a new printer just because I am completely unorganized and lost the driver disk.

Go to the manufacturer's website and type in your model # and it should give you an option for Software/Drivers/ETC:

Then you can choose exactly what you need.

Sometimes if you just hook up the printer it will give you the option to download the driver.

Hope something works for you.

You can also check downloads.com and see what you can find there.

You might also be able to check the manufacturers and check their websites for latest drivers.

Definitely check the manufacturers website, and if they don't have them feel free to send me a PM. My DH is a computer tech, so he may have the drivers and can e-mail them to you

My computers all did this. I never had to get discs out. It recognized the printer and then downloaded the drivers from manufacturer website.
