Just today I found out that steel wool soap pads will clean glass! I got all the hard water stains off my glassware and also the oven door. They also work great to get cooking residue off of ceramic tile backsplashes.

Vinegar and water with a little bit of lemon juice and dish soap. I keep a spray bottle filled with this on my kitchen counter and use it for everything in my kitchen and bathroom (except the tub and toilet) on a daily basis. It works great, it's cheap, and I don't have to worry about my 2 yo dd getting ahold of it when she wants to help mommy clean.
