help buying inexpensive gifts for young adult/teens?
Any suggestion is appreciated.
iTune cards and ear buds (my guys go through these a lot), movie gift certificate...I'll try to think of some more while I work on my cup of coffee. LOL.

A journal, pen, highlighter would be nice.
This was going to be my suggestion too. Great minds think alike! :-)
Prety girly stationary from Tuesday Morning -under $5, bath and body shop -Sweet Pea Lotion or antibacterial small bottles to hang from their backpacks, small Caboodle plastic boxes(they hold stuff like hair accersories, earrings, nail polishes), frozen yoghurt gift cards like yoghurt zone, get a long strip pack of 4 or 5 nail polishes from girls or teens section at Marshalls or Ross-$5.99, go to Big Lots, go to Michaels for Jewelry making kits and use the 40% off coupon from newspapers or print on line, cute fashionable slap on wrist watches from Target for $8.99. Good Luck I am sure you will find something they will like. Oh and almost forgot maybe a frame from World Market under $6 or set of bangle bracelets. Look for online printable coupons.
