gets picked up...altho i should look into earning some cash with it too
Cardboard: burned in the wood furnace
Glass: recycled to use for projects or as a grease jar
cans: we don't use many canned goods
milk jugs: I'll save them and use in the garden as frost covers or waterers
In MI, pop cans and bottles can be returned to the store for 10¢ each
I curious about earning some cash too.

I need to look it up if my state do something like that.

how do they know if you dont recycle??
Quoting ninamsi:They are picked up by the city. You get fined if you do not recycle. My dh does not like clutter so I don't save anything.
What town do you live?
Quoting oddfox:It's mandatory in our town, you get fined if you don't, but I'd do it anyway. In warmer weather we take walks around town and pick up aluminum cans. Those we cash in at our local scrap place and put the money towards something fun.
