Someone had to be looking out for me today-I went to the store with $50. Well, I didn't make the budget (I had to borrow $21 from our savings), but the deals today were incredible! But for $71, I managed to get the makings of nearly four meals (I forgot one ingredient, but I think I can make it myself), 3 with meat (boyfriend will get hotdogs for $1 at work for the fourth), and for several desserts that involve fruit. I am shocked at the cost of meat-they had BOGO for roasts, but none were less than $16 EACH!!! I did pick up a couple of deals that pushed the total over (a $.99 box of Cheez-Its), but I'm rather pleased. And I only had three coupons-2 store ones ($1.49 for a 5-lb bag of potatoes, $.99 Cheez-Its) and 1 Catalina from buying Mio for $2. Rather pleased-and we get to have strawberry and blueberry smoothies this week!

Sorry-just super excited and pleased with myself today!

Thats a good start!  You gotta work with coupons because when you stack on top of deals you can save nearly 50%--example, my kids like the Pediasure shakes, so Publix and a coupon for $3, then I had a manufacturer coupon for $2 and they were on sale for $9 and I saved $5 using the coupons!  Some stores also take competitor coupons as well!  Coupons can be a pain in the butt and overwhelming sometimes but when you see the savings, they are worth the trouble!

Yes I did! I'm not happy with my store because they're not carrying as many generic options as my old store did (size constraints), nor being forced to buy big packs of meats that cost so much!
