I Need Strawberry Recipes

I bought a few pounds of strawberries and they're already going soft. I planned to make angel food cake but I don't have almond extract or cream of tartar. Any other ideas?

I definitely plan to cut and freeze some.

I'm in the same boat as you. I went to 'Produce Junction', I brought 4lbs of strawberrie. I don't know what to do with them, except eating them with ice-cream. How do you make a smoothie? Usually, I add ice-cream,ice,fruit,but that isn't healthy. I don't like yogurt.

When I buy strawberries I always trim them immediately and what I don't eat immediately I lay on a cookie sheet and freeze in a single layer.  When they are frozen I put them in a freezer bag and use them in pies or smoothies.  Also use a banana bread recipe and change out bananas for berries.  That is wonderful!  My favorite recipe comes from Allrecipes.com

I use ice, a couple tbsp of yogurt (for creamy consistency, you really dont taste it unless you want to add more), a splash of OJ or apple juice, and whatever fruit I have on hand! Berries, banana, pineapple, mango, whatever works.
