I have been looking and looking for my 6 year old a red dress shirt with a tie but nobody had his size. Finally I checked the kids consignment store locally and found one. But boy did it remind me why I don't shop there! All of the ones I've been looking at New were $10. This one was the same brand used for $14! Thankfully they had it 50% off and I had $3.50 in credit so I only paid $4.50. I told them I don't typically go there because the prices are so high and would not have bought this if it wasn't on sale. They told me well, you'd have to drive to get one new so the price isn't that high.
What do you think? True big stores are 30 miles away but so are doctors and decent grocery stored and everything else so it's not like I'm never there. Their prices just keep going up!
Unless it's something I need now I won't be frequenting that store.
Do you think it's fair for them to charge so much?
I should mention thrift stores here do the same thing.
