It's saving me money seeing how I'm off (paid) for the past two days so I'm not spending money for gas lol

Costing me more on heat, gas (since I'm running the heat and defrost like crazy) and car repairs (I slid on black ice and messed up my brakes!).  Also missed work- I lost two days last week because of the snow.

1 mom liked this

I assume I'm burning more wood than usual..but since dh splits our wood in the summer and there's nothing sexier than a hot sweaty man chopping wood...I say burn, baby, burn!

I'm sure it will.  Haven't gotten the heating bill yet.  But, It can't help but be higher with us having been 20-30* lower than normal.  And, the utility companies ALWAYS hike their prices up at times like these, knowing they have most people hanging ocer a barrell.  Gotta love deregulation. =/

No, well maybe.  We did have to buy a generator when we had the ice storm right before Christmas.  We were without power for 3 days.  We had planned on buying one with our tax return since we tend to lose power quite often but ended up getting it earlier.  If we would not had to buy that then no our heating bill would be about the same.
