I haven't bought leg quarters in years, but that seems like a really good price.

I think they were on special for 98 cents but you had to buy the family pack which is 3lbs but that still is a good deal.

One grocery store around here marks them down to $0.69 a pound regularly. I do buy them at that price, but go through and cut off big chunks of fat before freezing or cooking them.

We are dark meat eaters here, but cheap chicken is so fatty.

I bought a 10 lb bag the other week for $5  it was a special they had.  Normally I don't buy them but I did this time and we are going to get at least 4/5 meals out of them.  I don't really like them but I have found a recipe where I bake it with wild rice and cream of chicken and it is fairly good
