With the rising cost of food, are you shopping differently than you used to? What are you doing to save money?
I'm much more aware of prices. I have changed the way I shop in that we will do without any extras, which my family hates to do. However, our grocery budget has not been able to increase along with prices so I do what I have to do.
I'm increasing the amount/varieties of what I grow in the garden.
I have changed the way I shop, but not so much because of the prices. I have matured and realized that boxed/prepackaged foods are full of crap and I don't want to eat them nor feed them to my family. By changing that I have saved some at the store as I now make most all of our treats, breads, etc. I have a huge garden that I use to stock up on veggies for the winter months and buy fruits in season and put them up for later as well.
Yep. More chicken and beans. Less beef. No fish except for occassional canned tuna. Non fat dried milk for most uses. Only cheaper fruits and vegetables. Plus a friend introduced me to the CVS game and online coupons, welcome additional strategies to grocery planning.
A little. Less booze. Less gourmet cheese. Boooooo
