How much in college loans do or did you have and what kind of a degree did you earn? I want to compare my debt with other people and see if I should feel bad or not.

My first degree was a BA, nothing, parents paid. Second degree was a BSN and I think I had about $30K. Third degree was MSN and I had $40K

It's a long list of what I went to school for but I have nine certifications and a degree and a near second.

Right now I think I'm at maybe 7k with interest, I thought I had paid them all off and bam, direct loans reminds me that I dropped out of nursing school :(

(I intend to go back but after losing the ability to stand or walk I didn't pass the schools physical requirements)

Thankfully none, unfortunately neither DF or I hold a degree in anything.  We both agreed a few years ago that when we do go back to school it'll be out of pocket or it wont happen.

1 mom liked this

I have two B.S. (Chemical Engineering and Accounting) and my MBA.  I had scholarships and grants that covered most of it but I worked full time and paid for school as I went to avoid any loans.

No matter what your debt is you shouldn't feel bad. There's not anything you can do about it now but pay it and if you took out too much in loans or got a degree that is hard to find a job with then just look at it as a lesson learned and move on. Feeling bad about things you cant change is a waste of energy.

Thats good. If you're happy with your work, why go back unless its for personal growth. Im drowning with these loans.
