Java: You can check your java by going to java.com . Once you are there, click on the "Do I have Java?" link underneath the Get Java button. Follow the steps contained in the java download. You will need to close your browser when prompted during the install, so be sure to only open java at that time.

Adobe: There are different Adobe products. One that is needed for on the internet is Adobe Flash or Adobe Flash Player, same program different name. To check your Adobe Flash status, go to Adobe.com and scroll down, look on the right side for Adobe Flash. Click on that, follow the download instructions, uncheck to download any toolbars, they are extras you don't need to load to run the program. You will need to close your browser when prompted during the install, so be sure to only open java at that time.

You can also update the other Adobe products on the adobe site.
