Are you an Evite person? I'm not. I either order invitations from a site like TinyPrints, or I send an informal e-mail out to a list of friends. It depends on the occasion (1st birthday party will have paper invites, Oscars party will have an e-mail). That's why when I was helping plan a memorial service to celebrate the life of my grandfather, I found myself stuck. Because of the timing, paper invitations would arrive too late, and eVite didn't seem fitting.
Luckily, I found Punchbowl, which was exactly what I was looking for. Punchbowl blends the sophistication of real paper invitations with technology. Love letterpress? Pick a letterpress design. Want to change the envelope liner? Go ahead! It's craft meets tech, and is perfect for the paper-obsessed like myself. Because it was a memorial, I paid $12.95 to send my invitations ad-free. (Still a great savings over paper invites and stamps.) Punchbowl tracks the user responses, lets you edit the text on the front of the invitation, where I put an inspiring quote, and then edit the inside.
You can also send single cards. Next time you need to send a quick thank you e-mail, for example, consider stepping it up with Punchbowl. The only thing I wish was that you could print out the card, exactly as it is. Minor glitch in a pretty cool invite site.
Do you use eVites are send invitations?
We don't do eVites or send any type of invitations.
Thanks for sharing this info, appreciate it.
I used Evite for my DD's birthday party. We don't send out a lot of invitations though.
I do events on Fb.. But that is the only type of e-vite that I do
For Thomas' first birthday I hand painted little pieces of wooden characters and did those for invitations.
