That's what happens with immediate technology. It doesn't seem she was meant to be notified through fb. Other people got to her first. That is super tough.
I honestly don't think it's that big of a deal. How you find out bad news doesn't change the fact that it's bad news.
Definitely not. If the members of the unit want to let her know, then they should call at least. Text messages and facebook are very inappropriate and hopefully steps will be taken to avoid it in the future.

I think it's horrible, they should be ashamed of themselves.........what a horrible way to deliver such terrible news......almost sounds like it should be against the law....
