Can someone explain to me I message? Will they charge u for it and does downloads when hooked to iTunes on PC use data?

Imessage is the equivalent to any chat messenger of your choice. It goes off of the cell network instead of using up text messages. I have not seen a decrease in space on my computer but when you sync your iphone it syncs all data. So if I have to restorw factory setting and then back my phone up from my computer I will get back all former texts and what not but that is part of the sync/backing up process.

Charging it, I believe just comes from the normal data/iphone package if you use actual text messages you are charged for those.

If you're not downloading something from the web, it shouldn't be using your data allowance...
