Desktop Computer Update Question

 My desktop is very slow. Is there a way to see if I have any windows updates available? If so, how do I do this? Any tips & pointers would be great (:

You should be able to type windows update in the search.  Otherwise it's in the control panel in one of the menu items.

Did you see of you needed an update? Mine updates on its own. Have you scan for viruses?

In Windows 7, go to the Control Panel, then System and Security, then Windows Update or just below the larger words there is a link for Check for Updates. 

It helps if you tell us your Operating System next time.  It varies between systems. 

Let me know if this is not your operating system or it does not work.  Some viruses can cause your computer to slow down and updating it will not help.
