Our school was private/public. It was free for the local kids, but we had dorm students from all over the world go there and pay big bucks to go.

UK private for K-6 (in the UK public & private have a different meaning than in the US), public for 7-12, private for college.

Public school from pre k thru 3rd grade and loved it, had lots of friends and got pretty much all A's.

then my parents forced me to go to catholic school from 4th grade thru 6th grade and I absolutely hated every second of it. I was miserable! I also kept my public school friends and hung out with them after school and on weekends and in the summer instead. Also I was so depressed and opressed feeling being there my grades all dropped drastically at that time.

Then I convinced them for middle school in 7th grade to PLEASE let me go back to public school with my friends so they did... from that time on to the time I quit and left home at 15 in 10th grade it was all a big social occasion to me, nothing more. lol I only got good grades in the classes I chose to actually attend bc I loved them such as psychology I got A's in those classes and skipped everything I didnt like as much as possible
