I dont know what in the world to do anymore. My daugther has screamed at us, destroyed things in our house, stolen things from my purse, hit stuff, hit us, and on and on and on. I just dont know what to do. They just changed her meds but she hasnt been on them long enough for them to be in her system and i just dont know how many more days like this i can take.

If this is making it worse (the med change) call the doctor!  Some meds just don't work for some people and actually do the opposite of what it should.  I would definitely put a call into the medication provider and run it past them.

Is there anyone who can help you out for a bit to get a break?  Or something she likes to do that will help you get a break?  We end up taking a lot of drives in the car so we can secure K in the car seat and contain him for awhile on really rough days.  I don't ever want him to get too old for his car seat! LOL

Hope you have better days ahead. When they are at their worst, remember, thats when they need us the most. We are the only ones that will be there. :)

I am so sorry.  If you think the meds are making it worse call the MD and let them know what is happening.     I hope that the next day you have some moments of peace and some smiles.

remember to just breathe.

I will pray that things turn around for the better.

Thank you all so much for your suppport. I really think that this medicine will do better than the last one it just is not in her system yet. They say it takes about a week to get in her system. I think it is so extremely bad right now because before they prescribed this med she was off of everything for a week! I really am hoping for things to get better very soon.

I sure hope everything gets better also...yea for your upbeat attitude.  It must be so extremely difficult to see her this way.  My 8 yr-old ppd/mr nephew is not on meds but I am familar with the idea of the switch.  My oldest son has adhd and sometimes that was kinda grueling.  It was never as you described but, was heart breaking just the same!  This too shall pass and i'm glad you have somewhere to come to vent/heal.  she is lucky to have  a mom like you, just remember that.  I will be thinking and praying for your family...god bless

I'm so sorry hun, just know that through this you have us and you can post as many times as you need to.  Also a quick beer at noon might help, not everyone agrees with me but there have been days where I drank a beer and all of a sudden things didn't seem so bad.  :)

I feel for you... Is she autistic or just being a brat? Living with that stress and pressure is not any easy thing. I hope you find some relief soon. Take it from experience-we are stronger than we think but don't hold back on asking for help like I did. Hang in there :)
