What state are you in and do you feel your child's needs are met?

Give us the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly about where you live.  Maybe if there is a really great state, we can all move there and make us our own little community...LOL

Our state just passed a few autism measures during legislation. I don't know much about them though. There are resources here, but they are few. I live in New Mexico, so there isn't much here to begin with.

i think overall we are very special ed friendly, for all disabilities. Selena is yet to be officially diagnosed but working on the DX's the use to get services she gets several and there are always options if something doesnt work right. i think we are lucky in that fact that even slight impairment is given immediate attention here. I'm in Massachusetts

I think as a state "Ohio"  does have some resources but only if you live near Cleveland and Columbus.  We live in a rural community and there just isn't much to offer.  We transport my son into another county for school and services.

Louisiana...sucks, this is a horrible state for special needs children as a whole. We moved here 6 months ago from Columbus Ohio (which I would rate a 9-10...great exceptional programs and services) and the services here don't remotely compare. It's very sad how how unimportant it seems to be here.
