Hi All.
I have a 4 1/2 yr old son who was diagnosed Oct. 2011. I am still numb about the diagnosis. This does not stop me from doing all I can to get him into the most appropiate Kindergarten for this fall. He recently had SEIT services and additional speech added to his IEP. I was so ready for a battle with the DOE but we got everything we asked for. I am part of a great support group and hired a special needs advocate. She has been a God send and her rates are reasonable. We live in NYC. The next battle is getting him into a DOE paid for private school if we can not find an appropiate public school.
