Tongue Twisters

I just read the Dr Suess ABC book to my 3 year old NT daughter.

Man I have never liked reading them aloud but feel compelled to try them for her sake. They bring out my speech issues and I stumble through ALL of it. But it makes her happy and in a way is therapy for me because I get to practice those kinds of speech and word structures while entertaining her.

I don't know why but I'm really good at Dr Suess books. It might be because I'm just reading and I'm not thinking at the same time.

I stumble over my own words. My husband always gets frustrated with me because I often lose track of where I'm at and I don't finish my sentence. I have had speech therapy as a child because I couldn't even say my own name.

I love reading Dr. Suess books.  They can be tough at times, but it makes my kids laugh when I do stumble.
