I just love how 'sorry' is an unemotional word!

My 9 year old.  With him, Im sorry is like saying 'Whatever' in a teenagers whiney attitude tone.
Honey, dont just leave the ice on the floor to melt. 'Sorry'. Yeah, well pick it up!  Just dont say 'Sorry'.
Honey, you just stepped on and broke your brothers toy. 'Sorry'.  Dont rip paper and throw it on the floor. 'Sorry'.

Sorry my butt!!!

Ugh!!! Groan!!!

I hear the same thing...I told my son that sorry doesn't always work, especially when it is used over and over again in just one day. Unfortunately his anxiety gets the best of him and he can't control it so when he calms down he comes and says sorry and says exactly what he did wrong....I do believe it is genuine but still erks me to hear it so much. Wish he could learn to control it before it starts.
