My mom found out about an appearance of the real Elmo, Rosita, and Abby Cadabby in MD tomorrow for a cancer foundation for kids. And it's free, which is awesome, because I'm broke. I am soooo excited to meet the creator of the most loved character on Sesame Street -- and of course Aly's favorite. I'm hoping Aly doesn't get overwhelmed. Wish us luck! I will most definitely be taking my camera!

Have fun.  I know Toby enjoyed Sesame Street Live the 2 or 3 years I took him.  I hope she enjoys it as well.

I think the real Elmo is pretty cute, too--bonus for mom... My SIL once hired a life-size Elmo for her daughter's birthday (an adult wearing the costume, not speaking at all) and all of the kids were scared to death.  DS was about 5 at the time.  DS was the only kid who followed Elmo when the performer left to change out of the costume and thought for a while that Elmo lived in my BIL's study!  He never connected the woman who came out of the study with the person in the Elmo costume.

That is so cool! My older girls would LOVE to meet him. They just started making their own puppets and putting together puppet shows. We have made two so far, and they are itching to make another one.
