See what CafeMoms are saying about saving time this holiday season..
Recently, while at the park or on the walking trail, my son has begun shouting "Die! Die! Die!" at random people. Not sure why, or where he got this from. The absolute only TV he watches is Super Why and Sesame Street. He is homeschooled, so isn't getting it from classmates. I doubt he picked it up in Sunday School. The only thing I can think of, and this is weird, but on his word family flash cards the word "die" is part of the "ie" family. He's 3 1/2 and somewhere around a 2nd grade reading level, but his comprehension lags behind so I always make a point to tell him the meaning of the words he reads. When we got to pie, lie, die, I told him the plants would die if we didn't water them. I didn't mention anything about people dying. But it is already very hot where we live, even in the morning it's warm, so maybe he thinks the joggers will die if they don't get water?? I have also told him it's important to drink water when excercising. So who knows with his roundabout logic. It is of course embarrassing when he yells "die!" at people. Anyone else experience their child saying strange things to people and not knowing where they got it from or why they're saying it?
