So I got in a Auto accident on may 30th. Someone rammed me from the back going 70 mph. I was going 10 mph and my car turned 450 degrees before coming to a sudden stop. For a month now I have dealt with neck and back pain. Mostly neck pain that radiated out to my back. Last week after physical therapy, the swelling started going down and I had no more sharp pains. In my neck but I started getting real sharp pains in my head. Left side lasting 20-30 seconds then I would be ok. I am having these about 3 times daily now. The PT this morning said I probably needed a cat scan just to verify that nothing was wrong. The NP this afternoon said there was no way she was going to order a expensive imaging test for 20 seconds of pain. WTF does she work for Gmac insurance? I don't get it. She is acting like I am faking. Me who hasnt been to the doctor since I was pregnant with my kids. Me who has never complained about anything before all of the sudden had all this pain? I am so MAD.
Update: the doctor today thinks I am having seizures. She prescribed anti seizure meds, an EEG and an MRI. :(

Then insist. Or change docs. Absolutely don't settle and personal injury claim before getting it checked out.
I hate the Insunuating feeling that
you are faking.

Get an opinion from an actual doctor, not an NP. And tell the NP that you will sue for malpractice if this turns out to be something significant. 20 seconds of pain at a time is different from 20 seconds of pain one time. Also, call your insurance provider if nothing else works out, they may have a different POV.

I have a doctors appt on Thursday and my mom is going with me. It's amazing to me that I can fight for my kids but not for myself. I am also calling an attorney tomorrow. This last month has been awful. My son had to deal with loads of changes which is making it hard on my back due to him freaking out and me having to restrain him in a massive hug. He has a new car seat, a new car, and a mom who can not even concentrate long enough to play memory with him. :(
