Forget about Autism, why are there so many children who can't talk?
I was at speech therapy the other day, and one of the boy's therapist stated they are building a larger place again. This will be the third move in 5 years. She said there is an explosion of children who are severely speech delayed. I said with autism? and she said some with autism and some just delayed and they are too young to know why. She also stated that she has been doing this for 20 years and there is some explosion of children born in the last 6 years that have severe speech problems. She said something is happening where children can't talk correctly or at all - some with autism and some without. I asked her if there is just better detection now and she said the ones she is talking about are the severe cases that can't communicate or are the ones that are so obvious that there would be no question they need help. She said most children need 3 years to really help them and she said there is almost always other problems going on too whether intellectual or behavioral. She said this is more an epidemic than autism. She said something is really wrong and it needs to be addressed.
Why do you think this is going on? Bad genes passed down, to where almost all of our genes are corrupt. Environmental factor? Maybe environmental factors that have corrupted our genes?
