I think she has done a disservice to the autism community.

Quoting kajira:
It wasn't a porno movie. It was her and her husband having sex on a houseboat that they purposely leaked to the media and someday her boys will likely see it. That's gross. It would have ruined my brother had our mother and father had done something like that.
I'm sorry, but I think bfing until age 5 is complete overkill. Women can do what they want, but I think it's ridiculous. My son will be 5 soon and to think of him on my boob now makes me want to laugh. Plus, the teasing! Like he needs any more ammunition for other kids to make fun of him!!! OMG. I do not know ONE mom who bfs at age 5. It's unheard of where I live.
We all have different morals and standards and I am entitled to my opinions on this just as you are to yours, Emma. You're not a celebrity. Your son's friends are not going to know what photos you have had taken of yourself. It's apples to oranges, although even when I was hot, young and gorgeous, I never allowed myself to be photographed naked- not because I am a prude but because it's just not something I ever wanted "out there."
A make up artist I'd known for years in Los Angeles dated a photographer who shot a lot of test photos for Playboy and called me TWICE, asking me if I would be willing to do some test shots for Playboy. I told her I wasn't interested. I don't need the money and it's just not something I feel comfortable with.
I remember telling my dad about it, the dear man, and he said to me, "You should do it- if you want to ruin your life." So, as you can see, it's simply not how I was raised. If I had a daughter, I wouldn't want her doing it either.
No hard feelings, OK? We just see these issues in a different light and that's ok! :-)
what does his being autistic or not have to do with being in a pool of half naked women??hes still a kid and curiosity is curiosity
Quoting myfirstborn04:
No i haven't , i was just at aw that he spoke like that and actually was surrounded by half naked women. Maybe he is improve slot because i just don't think an autistic child would be in a situation like that.
Quoting Leobaby2007:Quoting myfirstborn04:
Jenny who? LOL she's just an attention seeker. I really don't think her son Was even autistic!
Have you read her books about Evan? If he isn't autistic, then please tell me what he has because he fits so many of the criteria, and he showed signs as an infant, so she can take her vaccine theory and shove it where the doesn't shine. She just wasn't paying attention when her son flapped his arms or spun in circles for hours a day, or repeated everything she said instead of having spontaneous conversations. The seizures, too. Did she actually think that was "normal"? Nt until the seizures started happening did she get help. Not the brightest bulb in the box!!!
Evan has autism. I can see it when I look into his eyes.

Smart woman, in my opinion.
Quoting Austinsmom4544:From the article I read she admits he may have never had autism. It may be Landau-Kleffner syndrome.
Quoting Leobaby2007:Quoting myfirstborn04:
In the link it states she lost track of her son for like an hour and found him in a pool with half naked women. Nope not buying he was autistic.
Yes, he does. He has it. Read her books. I don't agree with all of her rhetoric by a long shot, but if her son doesn't have autism, then neither does mine and my son doesn'tt have a fraction of the issues her does.
He has it. He displayed all the classic signs. He might be improved now, with therapy and so forth,, but he has autism, and he was not "cured", just much improved.
Quoting myfirstborn04:
Yes but IM just thinking my boys would have too much anxiety to be in a crowded place and naked mine can't even change his undees in front of me.

My son is fine in crowded places. He is a sensory seeker though. My brother was the same way. My brother is very severe. He is a nonverbal adult and it unable to live on his own. When we were younger, he would wander. One time we found him hanging out with a group of teenage girls. Lol

I think it's sad that women here feel that 40 is a magical age not to pose nude. I hope I still have the confidence for boudoir and nudes when I'm 40, 50 and even 60!
I'm sorry, but many of you ladies sound jealous and insecure.
Quoting Leobaby2007:Quoting momtoscott:Didn't she at first think her son was some kind of super child? There's a name for it, blanking on it now, where rich people whose kids are developmentally/behaviorally different think the kids are somehow the next step in human evolution. I don't know why I'm thinking "grape/purple" but that is stuck in my mind. It's called (something) Children.
I'm sure she is doing the best for her child that she can, but I just really dislike her because of all the crap she says, and at one point she was going around implying that she had cured her kid of being autistic, although she didn't word it as cure. She just rubs me the wrong way. My impression of her is shallow and cheap, and not as smart as she thinks she is.
Holly Robinson Peete is a celeb mom of an autistic child who is a much better role model and spokesperson, IMO.
^^^^ THIS. She HAS done a lot for her son (as we ALL have thankyouverymuch lol)- no question about it, but my God, does she have no self respect??? Geez!!!! She's 40! She's still gorgeous and sexy. Why does she have to take her clothes off to prove it???
It's quite possible she was under the delusion her child was somehow a "super child" since celebrites often have the BIGGEST egos on the planet.
I, too, really admire HRP very much. :-)
I should add that you are 100% correct. EFB is NOT for everyone, but if you choose to do it, that's a personal choice. In a typical, healthy, child I personally do not believe there are any nutiritional benefits to breastfeeding at age (I could be wrong- that happens a lot lol). I just object to the Time magazine cover suggesting that ALL mothers should be bfing until age 5 or longer because I simply don't agree that "ALL mothers" are the same. Nor are "all children" the same.
I'm sorry your mom abused drugs. :-( That must have been rough.
My family was like Father Knows Best, I swear lol.
To be fair about Pamela Andserson, my dad, who was totally pro-wman in terms of education and career, did say to me, "You know? There's a woman who had no talent and she used the assets she had to make a career for herself and made a lot of money too." So... I have to give her that. For all my "talent" and "good grades", I'll never have a house decorated in shabby chic right on the water in Malbu, but she does!!!!!!! LOL. Have you ever seen her house in Malibu? It was the on MTV show "Cribs" once. It's freakin' AMAZING.
But I digress...back to Jenny....I don't even what to say about her anymore.
maybe I read that wrong....
but my 19 month old is still nursing, and I nursed my first until 26 months and if I had been *smarter* I'd have nursed him until he self weaned, even if that meant 5. he went on an eating strike and didn't eat anything but kix and pediasure for a YEAR when I weaned him on pediatrician recommendation.
I realize extended nursing isn't the right choice for everyone.... but it's just as valid as formula feeding and going to cows milk. It's human milk, designed specifically for a human. it's better than cows milk, or even goats milk - which is what my son now drinks, courtesy of my neighbor.
And, Just becuase you are a mom - doesn't mean you can't also be a woman. my mom being a stripper didn't bother me at all growing up.... her drug use was more of an issue.
I grew up in seattle, were there was the SLUT walk and all sorts of openness about sexual freedom. what a grown woman chooses to do in that fashion, doesn't mean she's not a good mom. It just depends on what she chooses to expose her child too before he's an adult... being famous means he'll probably hear about it in high school, but i don't really think it will traumatize him for life.
Everyone has their own secrets and personality... I don't really think judging someone because they made a porno movie once is really fair. I actually think it's kinda cool that she's able to be so open about herself and not care what other people think.
Actually, if you think about it, most of the boys's friends will probably be like "cool, your mom is pam anderson, she was awesome in X tv show."
Quoting Leobaby2007:
Oh, absolutely! And for the record, I didn't care for the Time magazine cover re: breastfeeding until children are old enough to very easily chew and swallow there own food (bf until age 5? REALLY???? Isn't age 2 enough, if you can even make it that long- it's PLENTY)), and nor I do I care for mothers who pose nude in men's magazines. I always wonder what Pamela Anderson's boys will have to go through when they get older and figure out what their mother has been up to all theses years- nudie magazines and sex tape included. ICK!!!!
