Posted by   + Show Post

Are you enrolling your kids in any extracurricular activity(ies) for fall?

Any musicians in our midst? I know momtoscott's son ...

they also have a group "drums alive", for aiden it would be too loud i think, but the kids, use drum sticks on yoga exercise balls, and dance around, ben might like that but idk if they have that in your area

Thank you! i'll check it out.  You can't get too loud for Ben.  For me, maybe, but that's what ear plugs are for.

Yes, my son will be starting to play clarinet, and he will continue to take acting classes.

Have you tried Kindermusik http://www.kindermusik.com/ or Music Together http://www.musictogether.com/? Both classes offer music cd's and instruments to take home to go with the songs they are learning during class. Kindermusik is parent participation until about age 5 or 6 (I don't really remember), and I think Music Together is probably the same. Both usually offer free intro classes, which I recommend so you can decide which teacher/program you like better.

we're gonna try this play group wiggle kids in the fall, they do active things, like games and songs, active stuff and it sounds fun

For Ben we do story time at the library and he HATES the stories but they mix them up with songs like twinkle, twinkle and Finger Popping and Red Light Green Light and he loves those.  I wish I had something similar that was all music.  Music therapy has a mile long wait list around here.

Thank you! I haven't even thought of looking outside of music therapy.

Probably soccer again - plus starting piano lessons.  We might also do some swim lessons with the local special recreation association...

This is what we wanted (and the boys wanted)

Dean - anything he wanted

Garrett - cub scouts

Jackson - tumbling for boys

BUT we can't because we need to have more money in the house.  **shrugs**
