my son gets the Max but I don't feel comfortable disclosing that information on here. All I had to do was have his medical records and stuff when we applied. It took 6ms and he was approved. He didn't have to have any extra evaluations done by their doctors. You need to call and set up a appointment at your local social security office to apply.

Yes my oldest son gets it. You can call your local ssi office or go online and apply. It can take a while. They may even want there doctors to evaluate him. They will pay for the evaluation if the do. Mine didn't. They did send a questioner to my child's teacher for her to fill out. How ever long it takes they will pay him once he's approved so if you applied in August and they don't approved him till November the first pay would be 4 months. But just make sure your papers are in order and you have your sons medical records at hand. It is based on your household income so if you make too much they can deny you. Best of luck!!!

we got a layer for ssi, and its taken round two.  We are waiting on the paper work.  We need medical records, and therapy.  We had his evolution info from the place that diagnosed him.  We also had to have I think a month or two bank statements, pay check stubs, house payment, and utilities..

I get SSI for my son. I got it approved within a month. I applied at the begining of the month it was approved by the end of the month. It is income based and since I have no income it's $698 a month which pays the rent basically. I get $250 from the county and food and medical this is what we live off of it's not much. Our rent is $669. I would call the phone number on the back of your SS card and they will be able to direct you to where to call. Their is no evaluation it's all based on medical records of your child from autism doctors, school reports all of it. I had to go to all of the offices I had ever had my son seen at and get all his medical records and submit them, emergency room visit, list of medications all of it, all the specialists he's ever seen. i hope this helps.

my son gets ssi.it took him6 mos to get it and he got half of  ythe ackpay when approved. He gets 698  +89 from the state.hE DIDNT  NEED any additional eval becausethe drs and school statements were enough.I went on the website;here is the starter kit here; Please review everything in the kit and then go to the application here then u can choose a phone interview  or in ss office for me  the next  step was easier with kids to on phone cause u can keep your reg routine which is importent with asd  kids!!after this the next time u well have to go in office once and then its just waiting but as long as you already have a diagnosis foryour child and are deemed  low enoiugh incoe he well recieve a check in approx 6  mos
