My son was diagnosed with Autism today. I feel like a tornado hit me.
I think that's pretty normal. Give it some time to let things register, and go from there.
If you need to talk, talk, if you want to ask questions, ask questions... If you need to vent... we'll understand that too.
Welcome to the group.
That feeling will go away... and probably soon. It will be replaced with a super-mom sensation, where you become an amazingly strong advocate for that little boy! You will do whatever you can to help him, and search for wonderful resources and services. Take it one day at a time.
This feeling is normal for many parents after their child has received a diagnosis, so you are not alone. The next few days or weeks may be difficult to absorb all of the information, but remember that we are here to help or listen. ((hugs)) Hang in there mama, everything will be okay :)
(((HUGS))), welcome to the group! Take some time to try to process things, my DD was diagnosed about 3 months ago and I still have days when I feel on top of the world and others when I feel pretty low. This group is an amazing support. Please let us know if you have any questions.
((hugs)) Now you can get him more help and that is a good thing!!! welcome to the group! we are here for you... any questions anything you want to talk about post it.
