I have a step-daughter who is 12 that is non verbal

My son turned 6 last October. Has said maybe 6 words total,no repeat except for "all done" which I have'nt heard in quite awhile. I keep telling myself that he is going to start any day now. Jack does do some vowel sounds and has started mimicking a couple of sounds like "weeeee". I just keep telling myself that he is happy and healthy, some parents don't have that. And I pray.
