Have you checked with your school district to see if they offer any online options?

Have you checked into the K12 (http://www.k12.com/) program? From what I have heard, it comes with everything needed, and it is a virtual or over the internet charter school. You might also want to check into these resources to supplement what he gets through online schooling: Special Olympics (http://www.specialolympics.org/), Variety Club (http://www.usvariety.org/), TheARC (http://www.thearc.org/), and Easter Seals (http://www.easterseals.org/). You might also want to check out http://www.ncil.org/.

I have heard really good things about the k12 program. I was considering homeschooling my children when the times comes for school. I got their info and they sounded great.

I would check your area for local charter homeschools. My 10th grader is just starting a public online charter school. You get all supplies, a laptop, $1600 a year in vouchers for sports, art, music, and/or tutoring. Plus, a teacher does all the grading and testing, and comes to your home once every 5-10 days to check up on how they are doing, and help out in any areas of need. The special ed coordinator also comes to your home to review progress and help with modifications and accommodations, if they really need help in a subject the spec ed coordinator would also decide on extra tutoring through an private tutor, in home or at location.

I looked at k12, but decided to go with my local public school since I'd like to be able to meet with teachers myself. Especially since my daughter is in special ed.

Some libraries offer online tutoring.  When my oldest was taking pre-calculus, there was no way I could help her, but the online tutors through our library's website were marvelous!
